Books I read and like
- The Phoenix Project: A Novel About IT, DevOps, and Helping Your Business Win by Gene Kim
- "The Architecture of Open Source Applications" (Volume 1 and 2) and "The Performance of Open Source Applications" are very good books that give you an in-depth understand of how certain software pieces work and why they were designed in that way. The later book focuses on the performance part. (Hint: All books can be read fully online for free on the website.)
- "Smart and Gets Things Done: Joel Spolsky's Concise Guide to Finding the Best Technical Talent" long title, but actually a good read if you want to hire "tech-people" for tech-positions. Focussed on developers but applies to sysadmin/other areas as well if adapted.
